Rick Street -- VP, Technology PDF Print E-mail

Rick Street joined the SLF board in April 2007 as VP, Technology.  He has been associated with the SLF and its predecessors organizations since the late 1970s, and served as President of the Toronto chapter of the North American Society for Corporate Planning in 1982-83. He helped negotiate the 1985 merger between NASCP and PEI, which resulted in the formation of The Planning Forum, and later the SLF.

A seasoned executive and consultant (CMC), Rick has been managing and advising businesses in Canada and abroad for over 30 years.  He has held positions in operations, planning and treasury with firms including, DuPont, Imperial Oil and Suncor, has run a New Ventures group for Petro-Canada, and held the senior finance and corporate development portfolios for companies in Canada and Europe, where he has worked on acquisitions, divestitures and MBOs.

For many years, Rick ran a consulting practice specializing in corporate development and financial management.  Over the years, he has worked with scores of companies and private entrepreneurs to transform strategic concepts into reality, and has enabled business managers and owners to realize their corporate and personal objectives.

He holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from McGill University (1969) and an MBA in finance from Queen's University (1972).  He has taught courses in business strategy at York University, and has served on the boards of several organizations in Canada and the UK.
